Dr. Rasmussen personally reviews your intake and selects the right antibiotic combination for your specific destination and risk profile.

03

Your physician-prescribed kit arrives with clear instructions for exactly when and how to use each medication — no guesswork, no foreign pharmacy.

Physician-owned difference

Not an algorithm.
A real doctor.

TripKitRx was founded by Dr. Rasmussen, D.O. — a physician who was tired of seeing patients return from international trips wrecked by preventable infections.

Board-certified D.O.
A physician with specific expertise in destination-specific illness, antibiotic resistance patterns, and traveler risk stratification.
Destination-matched protocols
Your kit for Thailand is not the same as for Peru. Antibiotic resistance patterns and risk profiles differ by region — Dr. Rasmussen matches accordingly.
Own the company, own the protocol
Dr. Rasmussen personally stands behind every prescription. No investor pressure. No algorithm shortcuts. Sound clinical judgment only.
30–70%
of international travelers develop traveler's diarrhea. Most suffer a week when they could recover in 24 hours with the right antibiotic.
3 days
average time to access a physician abroad in a developing country. With TripKitRx, you have the prescription before you land.
< 5 min
to complete your intake. Under 24 hours to ship. Most patients receive their kit 2–3 days before their trip.
The kits

Built for your trip.
Prescribed for your body.

Every kit starts with a physician consult. What arrives is calibrated to your destination, health history, and travel style.

Traveler stories

They packed a kit.
The trip went on.

★★★★★
"I got hit with food poisoning in Vietnam on day two. Had the antibiotic with me, started it immediately, and was back out by dinner. Without TripKitRx I'd have lost three days."
Sarah M.
Solo travel, Southeast Asia
★★★★★
"Our company sends employees to India and Sub-Saharan Africa regularly. TripKitRx has become a standard part of our pre-travel protocol. The physician consult alone is worth the cost."
James T.
Corporate travel manager
★★★★★
"As a travel medicine physician myself, I was skeptical. But the protocols are sound and the kit concept fills a real gap. I now recommend TripKitRx to patients preparing for international travel."

Common questions

Everything you're
probably wondering.

Is this a real prescription?+
Yes. Every TripKitRx kit is prescribed by Dr. Rasmussen, D.O. after reviewing your intake. Medications are dispensed from a licensed U.S. pharmacy and shipped directly to you. This is not a supplement — it is a legitimate prescription antibiotic kit.
How is this different from a walk-in travel clinic?+
A travel clinic appointment typically takes 2–3 weeks to schedule, requires in-person attendance, and focuses primarily on vaccines. TripKitRx provides antibiotic preparedness — what to have with you if you get sick — with no appointment, in under 24 hours, reviewed by a physician who specializes in exactly this.
Can I bring this through customs?+
Yes. Your kit comes with a prescription label identifying the medications, Dr. Rasmussen, and the patient name. This is legally prescribed medication and can be carried through customs like any other prescription drug. We include a physician letter for international travel if required.
What if I have allergies or existing prescriptions?+
Your intake form collects allergy and medication information, and Dr. Rasmussen accounts for all contraindications before prescribing. If you have a common antibiotic allergy (e.g., penicillin), an appropriate alternative will be selected.
Do I need to use the kit, or can I just carry it?+
The kit is for use only when you develop symptoms meeting the criteria in your included symptom guide — written by Dr. Rasmussen. Many travelers carry the kit and never use it. That is the point: the safety net, not the illness.
Does insurance cover TripKitRx?+
Most standard insurance plans do not cover elective travel preparation prescriptions. We provide an itemized receipt that some FSA/HSA plans may accept. Contact us for corporate and bulk pricing.
